Homemade Remedies for Dark Elbows

Lemon Juice

Lemon has skin lightening and bleaching properties that make it a perfect remedy for dark elbows. To use this remedy, cut a lemon in half and hold the fresh slices against your skin. Use the lemon as a scrub in the affected area. Do this before showering, or over the sink to avoid mess. You can leave the lemon juice on your elbows for 15 to 30 minutes. For extra whitening properties, you can apply honey to the skin before rubbing the lemon on.

Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe Vera is a great treatment for sun-damaged skin. So for dark elbows that are caused by sun damage, try using Aloe Vera gel. This can be picked up from the local drug mart, or you can buy an Aloe plant for your home and crush the leaves to extract the gel. An Aloe plant is a great investment for your home.



Turmeric

Turmeric is fantastic for moisturizing and healing the skin. To apply to your elbow, mix turmeric with a small dish of milk and create a paste. You can massage this milk paste on your dark and dry elbows and let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse and wash with soap. Try repeating this process everyday. Olive Oil and Sugar
